Visit by the German Engineering Federation to Brazil: Shaping better conditions for bilateral cooperation
A delegation of the German Engineering Federation (Verband Deutscher Maschinen- und Anlagenbau e.V., VDMA) visited Brazil in November. They strengthened the dialogue with the Brazilian industry and identified new opportunities for cooperation between Brazilian and European companies.

Publication of the 5G Practical Guide: Strengthening Mexico’s industrial transformation
The Secretariat for the Mexican-German Digital Dialogue, in collaboration with NTT DATA, presents the new publication “5G Practical Guide - Use cases and recommendations for industrial application in Mexico”. This guide identifies 5G use cases in key industrial sectors such as manufacturing, automotive production and logistics automation, and offers concrete recommendations for their implementation. The publication marks a milestone in Mexico’s journey towards a connectivity-driven, innovation-led economy.

Republic of Korea
Korean startups get to know the Berlin startup ecosystem
On 3 and 4 November, we joined the Global Market Expansion Program (GMEP) and supported 20 Korean startups to visit the Berlin startup ecosystem. The Secretariat for the Korean-German Digital Dialogue also introduced the Digital Dialogue to the Korean participants to engage in exchange on digital policy, collaboration opportunities and knowledge transfer.

Indonesia
Harmonising data regulations: Launch of a policy brief
On 30 October 2025, the policy brief “Harmonising Data Regulations: Advancing Indonesia’s Role in the Global Digital Economy” was launched in Jakarta. It was published on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Digital Transformation and Government Modernisation (BMDS) and the Indonesian Ministry of Communications and Digital Affairs (MCDA) with support from the Indonesian Business Council (IBC) Institute. The launch highlighted the importance of internationally harmonised data regulation.

Launch of the Gaia-X Hub in Brazil
The International Digital Dialogues, Brazilian Internet of Things Association (ABINC) and Global Gateway jointly promote an initiative on digital sovereignty and data sharing in economic sectors. In this context, the Secretariat for the Digital Dialogues in Brazil facilitated a technical mission with the CEO of Gaia-X Association for Data and Cloud, Ulrich Ahle, on 28 October 2025. During the technical mission, the Gaia-X Hub in Brazil was launched.
Kenya
German and Kenyan businesses explore collaboration in IT outsourcing and BPO
As part of the Kenyan-German Digital Dialogue, a dedicated exchange session was held on 22 October 2025 to further strengthen cooperation between German and Kenyan businesses in the Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) and Information Technology Outsourcing (ITO) sectors. The focus lied on exploring practical pathways for German firms seeking to enter the Kenyan market.

Expert exchanges in Seoul: from groundbreaking technologies to future research and economic cooperation
Face-to-face meetings often beat virtual exchanges – this is what the Secretariat for the Korean-German Digital Dialogue can confirm after a week-long, intensive business trip to Seoul at the beginning of October. New expert formats, an expanded partner network, practical exchanges on technology topics and joint projects are some of the topics that will be taken up and further developed in 2026.
Ghana
First annual meeting of the Ghanaian-German Digital Dialogue
On 30 September 2025, the Ghanaian-German Digital Dialogue convened its first annual meeting. It provided a platform for government partners and stakeholders to review progress and shape joint strategies for digital transformation. The event took place in a hybrid format with participants meeting in-person in Berlin while Ghanaian representatives joined virtually.
